This art exhibit was in honor of hispanic heritage month. The exhibit displayed the 68 different languages and art of the Mexican citizens. The art was truly beautiful and captivating.
Etiquette Dinner
During the etiquette dinner I learned about the different stories people had to tell and their passion. I got to learn how to make connections the right way and how to interact with new people in settings like these!
Geography Bee
Our very first geography bee was a success! I helped with the making of it as well as the day of the event. This was a great way to get people to learn A LOT of information in a fun and innovative way.
A Global experience honoring your world
At this event I had two projects to present. The one shown here on the left was about Hunger specifically in the US. We had an interactive activity to educate people on food insecurity and ways they can help.
NCAIE Student Conference
For this event me and some other friends from the Global Scholars went out to Charlotte for this conference. We learned about things like Accents, mental health, and we also got to listen to a couple small short stories for the two-to tell contest!
Reading books to kids at Spring Creek elementary
On this day The multicultural club and I went out to spring creek elementary to read some books to the kids in ESL. We all either took one or two kids and chatted for a little then started reading with them. I learned about their experiences with coming to a new country and them having to adjust at such a young age... Maybe a tear or two were shed.
